Farmers markets better and cheaper option than Supermarkets

We believe accredited farmers markets provide an important avenue for our Victorian producers to get their produce to shoppers and for shoppers to get the best prices possible

While supermarkets are captive to importers and high transport costs, farmers travelling shorter distances can keep prices down. On average Farmers prices have increased by less than 3% over the last 12 months

Farmers Markets were defined as an essential service during the pandemic - and they continue to be essential during this cost of living crisis

We will continue to run our markets, whilst acknowledging that conditions may change.
